Anyone Can Hold a National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration – Here’s What You Need to Know

clown kids celebrateOn Sunday, June 1, tens of thousands of people around the world will attend celebrations to honor cancer survivors as part of National Cancer Survivors Day 2014. And you can join them. You don’t have to be a large cancer organization or treatment center to plan and host an NCSD celebration. But you do need to start making plans today.

The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation has put together some great resources to help you plan and promote your NCSD 2014 celebration. And it’s all available online at – free! However, the deadlines for purchasing official NCSD t-shirts and keepsakes and for ordering your free magazines and cancer resource guides are quickly approaching.

Important Deadlines for National Cancer Survivors Day

April 1 is the deadline to order
  • NCSD Official Merchandise – t-shirts, coffee mugs, hats, balloons, pom poms, and more
  • Free Welcome Brochures
  • Free Cancer Survivors Resource Guides
April 22 is the deadline to order
  • Free copies of Coping with Cancer magazine’s May/June issue to distribute at your event (you only need to pay is shipping and handling)

So, how can you get your hands on these free resources provided by the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation?

All You Need to Do Is Register Your NCSD Event

Anyone can plan a National Cancer Survivors Day celebration for Sunday, June 1 – even you. And the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation is here to help. We have the tools and tips you need to plan and promote a Survivors Day event. All you need to do is register your event with the NCSD Foundation.

Go to, fill out one simple form, and you’re set. If you don’t yet have all the details planned out, no worries. You can fill those in later. Once your event is registered, you will have access to the exclusive NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster (which contains contact information for nationally recognized celebrities and keynote speakers) and other valuable resources. You will also be eligible to order free copies of Coping with Cancer magazine to distribute at your event.

Registration is free and easy, but you must register your event each year in order to use the copyrighted National Cancer Survivors Day name and logo.
