National Cancer Survivors Day® 2016 Call for Keynote Speakers Now Open

Monday, July 27, 2015

The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation has issued an international call for speakers for National Cancer Survivors Day® 2016, a cherished Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the world each year on the first Sunday in June.

National Cancer Survivors Day® provides an opportunity for all people living with a history of cancer – including America’s more than 14 million cancer survivors – to connect with each other, celebrate milestones, and recognize those who have supported them along the way. It is also a day to draw attention to the ongoing challenges of cancer survivorship in order to promote more resources, research, and survivor-friendly legislation to improve cancer survivors’ quality of life. NCSD 2016 will be held on Sunday, June 5.

NCSD speakerThe NCSD Foundation is currently compiling a roster of compelling keynote speakers for National Cancer Survivors Day® celebrations and other cancer-related events. The Foundation’s Speakers Bureau Roster will be published online and provided free to cancer-related organizations, support groups, hospitals, and treatment centers who are hosting National Cancer Survivors Day® events in their communities. These organizations use the NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster to find keynote speakers for their local NCSD celebrations and other special events held throughout the year.

The Foundation is currently accepting applications from local, national, and international keynote speakers who would make excellent additions to our Speakers Bureau Roster. To be considered, download an application form at

There is no charge to be considered. Simply complete the application and return it to the Foundation by September 30, 2015.

Please note: the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation is responsible solely for assembling and disseminating the Roster. Speaking fees and other arrangements are to be handled by the individual speaker, or a representative, and the event host.
