NCSD EVENT REGISTRATION & AUTHORIZATION

In order to use the copyrighted “National Cancer Survivors Day®” name and logo, you must register your event with the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, and your event should take place on the first Sunday in June, if feasible. Otherwise, all official NCSD events must be held during the month
of May or June.

REGISTRATION & AUTHORIZATION There is no membership fee required to be a participating organization and hold a National Cancer Survivors Day®(NCSD) event in your area. Funding for the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, Inc. is provided primarily through the generosity and support of its sponsoring organizations that are dedicated to providing a better quality of life for cancer survivors, and recognition of these national sponsors is encouraged. You must register your organization’s event each year in order to use the “NCSD Marks” (described below) to promote your event. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, Inc. and the owner of the NCSD Marks (collectively “the Foundation”) request that you conduct your event along the general guidelines found on this website. National Cancer Survivors Day® and the NCSD Logo (survivor in circle) are federally registered service marks. National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation with exclusive rights to license “National Cancer Survivors Day®” and the NCSD Logo (collectively “NCSD Marks”). Upon submission of your registration to the Foundation, your organization is automatically authorized by the Foundation to stage an official, nationally recognized NCSD event in your area during the month of May or June in the year specified on the registration form. Upon receipt of this registration by the Foundation, your organization is also granted a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use the NCSD Marks to promote your NCSD event; no other use is authorized. In order to present a unified image, the NCSD Logo (survivor in circle) should appear on all promotional material you produce. The NCSD Logo should not be altered or modified in any way. Your organization’s use of the NCSD Marks is under the control of and subject to the quality standards of the Foundation, and all uses by your organization of the NCSD Marks shall inure to the benefit of their rightful owner and the Foundation. Upon receipt of your registration by the Foundation, your organization shall indemnify and hold harmless the rightful owner of the NCSD Marks and the Foundation, as well as their agents and employees, against all claims, demands, liability, suits, actions, or losses, including all reasonable expenses and attorneys’ fees, incurred by or imposed by the rightful owner and the Foundation, its agents, or employees through claims, demands, suits, or actions of third parties involving the services provided by your organization and using the NCSD Marks. Nothing in the materials provided by the Foundation shall mean to imply that your organization and the Foundation and its sponsors and underwriters are joint venturers or partners in NCSD. Your event is independent of all others, and you assume full responsibility and liability. The purchase of event insurance is recommended. Upon registering your event, your organization will automatically receive the Foundation’s information and eNewsletter.

NAME & LOGO USAGE The name “National Cancer Survivors Day®” (NCSD) and the NCSD Logo can only be used to organize, promote, and conduct an official NCSD event that has been registered with the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, Inc. (Foundation); no other use is authorized. Official NCSD events should take place on the first Sunday in June, if feasible. Otherwise, all official NCSD events must be held during the month of May or June.
