4 Creative Event Themes for National Cancer Survivors Day®

On Sunday, June 7, 2015, thousands of people in hundreds of communities around the world will gather to celebrate life after cancer. As you start planning your own community’s celebration, you may want to think about giving your National Cancer Survivors Day® event a theme.

Your event theme can be anything you want it to be. Need a little inspiration? Here are 4 creative event theme ideas for National Cancer Survivors Day® 2015. And don’t worry if your NCSD event kids as clownsalready has a theme. It’s never too late to start gathering ideas for National Cancer Survivors Day 2016!

1. Laughter Is the Best Medicine
Get guests laughing with clowns, a humorous speaker, a local improv troupe, laughter yoga, or anything else you can think of that will tickle their funny bones. Stock up on wacky masks, oversized sunglasses, wild wigs, and other novelty accessories to use as props for a photo booth. 2. Strike Out Cancer
Hold your event at a baseball field or attend a local ballgame where cancer survivors are recognized. Request to honor survivors by walking the bases. You could even invite a professional baseball player or team mascot to participate and take pictures with cancer survivors. This Survivors Day theme can be easily modified to fit with various other sports.

This is a great theme idea for a Survivors Day event geared toward childhood cancer survivors.
