National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation Issues Call for Keynote Speakers

Thursday, August 25, 2016

speakerThe National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation has issued an international call for National Cancer Survivors Day® 2017 keynote speakers.

National Cancer Survivors Day® is an annual, cherished Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the world on the first Sunday in June. It is also a day to draw attention to the ongoing challenges of cancer survivorship in order to promote more resources, research, and survivor-friendly legislation to improve cancer survivors’ quality of life. National Cancer Survivors Day® 2017 will be held on Sunday, June 4.

The NCSD Foundation is currently assembling a roster of compelling keynote speakers who are available for National Cancer Survivors Day® 2017 celebrations and other cancer-related events. The NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster will be published online and provided free to cancer-related organizations, support groups, hospitals, and treatment centers who are hosting official National Cancer Survivors Day® events in their communities. These organizations use the NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster to find keynote speakers for their local NCSD celebrations and other special events held throughout the year.

The Foundation is currently accepting applications from local, national, and international keynote speakers who are available to speak on topics of interest to cancer survivors and supporters. To be considered for the NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster, speakers or their agents can apply at ncsd.org/speakers.

There is no charge to be included in the 2017 NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster. Simply complete the application and return it to the Foundation by September 30, 2016, to be considered.

Please note: The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation is responsible solely for assembling and disseminating the NCSD Speakers Bureau Roster. Speaking fees and other arrangements are to be handled by the individual speaker, or a representative, and the NCSD event host.
