Bonar, President, KSBA Barbara constitutes the sole owner of a five-member law firm in Covington, Kentucky, and is regionally renown for her work in gender issue litigation, including, sexual harassment and discrimination in employment. She holdsw both her undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, and her law degree, from the University of Kentucky and is licensed to practice law in Kentucky, Ohio and in several federal Appellate and District Courts, including, the United States Supreme Court. She previously served as law clerk to Justice Robert F. Stephens of the Supreme Court of Kentucky (1984), as adjunct professor in legal writing at Salmon P. Chase College of Law (1987 - 1992) and is a certified mediator. Charles E. "Buzz" English, Esq., President Elect, KSBA English has tried numerous cases in federal and state court and has also handled appeals in both federal and state court. He constitutes a life member of the Judicial Conference for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and in 1989, among his other accomplishments and recognitions, received the Gwyneth B. Davis Outstanding Public Service Award.
Chris Kuczynski, Assistant Legal Counsel, U.S. EEOC In his position, he supervises the development of policy guidance interpreting Title I of the ADA, advises EEOC's field offices, office of the general counsel and Chair and Commissioners on ADA investigations and litigation. Cynthia D. Waddell, JD, Executive Director of the International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet, Raleigh, NC Cynthia provides leadership and project oversight for carrying out ICDRI’s overarching vision for the equalization of opportunities for people with disabilities. In 2003, she served as the accessible technology expert for the Bush Administration UK-US seminar exchange on employment and technology; following her work for several years in the “Boosting the UK Digital Economy- A Virtual Think Tank.” Dr. Edward A. Fitzgerald, Professor of Political Science, Wright State University Dr. Fitzgerald received his B.A., in 1971, from Holy Cross College; his J.D., in 1974, from Boston College, his M.A., in 1976, from Northeastern University and his Ph.D., in 1983, from Boston University. His Dissertation Title constituted The Role of the Courts in Public Policy, and he is the author of the book: The Seaweed Rebellion: Federal-State Conflicts over Offshore Energy Development. Dr. Otis H. Stephens, Alumni Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science and Resident Scholar of Constitutional Law, College of Law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville With A.B. and M.A. Degrees in political science from the University of Georgia; a Ph.D. in political science, and a specialty in constitutional law from Johns Hopkins University; and a J.D. from the University of Tennessee, he has been a member of the University of Tennessee faculty since 1967. Dr. Stevens has served successively as Professor of Political Science, Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences, and through his joint appointment in 2000, as a full-time member of the faculty of the College of Law. Gary C. Norman, Esq. Gary is legally blind from RP and is a mediator and attorney. Gary is the 2008 recipient of the Edward F. Shea, Jr., Award from the Maryland State Bar Foundation and will visit Europe in October as an American Marshall Memorial Fellow with the German Marshall Fund of the U.S. Lainey Feingold, Law Office of Lainey Feingold Linda Dardarian, Goldstein, Demchak, Baller, Borgen and Dardarian Linda and Lainey have pioneered Structured Negotiations, an advocacy and alternative dispute resolution method that emphasizes collaboration and solution. Using the method for the past 13 years, they have negotiated agreements on behalf of ACB, its members and its state affiliates, on a variety of issues, including, Talking ATMS, accessible websites, accessible pedestrian signals, Braille financial information, and tactile point of sale devices. Laura Rothstein, Professor of Law and Distinguished University Scholar, University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law Laura Rothstein joined the law school as a Professor of Law and Dean in 2000. She served as dean until 2005. She has written and lectured extensively on disability discrimination, with emphasis on disability issues in higher education, particularly legal education. She has served in a number of leadership positions on disability and diversity issues in legal education, including chairing the AALS Special Committee on Disability Issues from 1989-1991. Pshon Barrett Among other accomplishments, she was appointed by the Governor to serve on the board of directors for the Mississippi Industries for the Blind, with her term to end in 2010. |
